A question I get asked often is; "How do I contact wholesaler dropshippers, and
ask them if they dropship?" This is a good question as there are many
different angles to consider. First of all-you need to ask yourself
this; Are you dealing with a true "wholesaler", or are they a
"middle-man" posing as a wholesale dropshipper and really not giving you the bottom line pricing? If you are doing a Google search for "electronics dropshipper" most (if not all) results will be someone just trying to take your money so be careful.
So how do you know who to trust? By making sure you ask the right questions (and make sure they are also asking YOU the right questions.) Most true wholesale dropshippers are
not willing to work with a person that is not a legal registered
business (with a business name and tax id) SO, if they ask you for
this information then you are already past one of the most important
steps.
Also you want to ask them these couple of questions:
1. Are you a true wholesale dropshipper?
Have them give you some prices for products they have (just for your
information) and make sure you have done your homework on other
websites/businesses in making sure they are not just giving you a few
dollars under retail (also a good sign they are NOT a true wholesale dropshipper). Most of the time you are looking for 60-100% mark-up before even considering someone as a supplier.
2. Do you dropship? You want to make sure that no
matter if someone orders 100 of something from you... or one thing (so,
we don't want to work with someone that has minimum orders-for the most
part)...that they will still dropship the product. This is a good
indication that you are dealing with a legit wholesale dropshipper.
Using a company such as The Shipper also helps eliminate alot of the potential risk that may be involved with finding a wholesale dropshipper.
They have already done all the research, have all the contact info (of
the suppliers), and you can feel comfortable that if (the supplier) is
on the list then they will dropship.
