Customer Service

I should not get started about customer service because it usually starts to boil my blood when I think back to some of the bad customer service experiences I have had. I want to share some ideas to make dealing with customers in difficult situations easier (especially when it comes to dropshipping customer service issues).

There has been some times when I have received pretty big orders only to go to my supplier and fulfil them and be told the products are on back order. What do you do in a situation like this? You have the money, (the really nice order you have been waiting for) so you do not want to just give up and send the money back, right?

I always put it in the hands of the person who purchased from me. I call them or email them up and explain the situation to them. I let them know that their product will probably take a couple extra weeks to get in and whould they like to wait for it, or I will ask them if they want their money back. Yes, I will ask them because it is the right thing to do, plus from experience I have found that 90% of the time when I just explain the situation the person may not be happy about it, but they are greatful to know whats going on.

The worst is when you give your money to someone online and hear nothing for weeks, no email, no call, no product. This can drive a person crazy. If they were to only know whats going on it makes it much easier waiting a couple extra days.  You don't want them to get mad and report you to a site like rip off report (dot) com

Just remember to keep in mind "common sense" customer service issues with dropshipping products online. How do you like being delt with? What are the companies and good practices of companies you love and respect. Try implementing some of their customer service habbits and you will be ok!
